When the head coach of the Growlers Baseball Club came to me to create the full team & brand identity for him, I was all in! He wanted to combine a lot of his loves from both the sports world, and his personal life. First, I illustrated an anthropomorphic combination of his favorite animals the honey badger, and a wolverine, along with Taz! As for the colorways, the coach wanted to use the old gold from FSU, and the purple from the Baltimore Ravens. His love for Minor League Baseball was the inspiration behind the wordmark I created by hand. Being that the coach is also a musician, I implemented some headphones and some subtle nods to sheet music. The primary logo lockup is made up of four different elements, which can all be used separately for hats, jerseys, shirts, shorts and any other apparel & merchandise to be sold. An inaugural patch was also created for the new team for Summer 2017! Team uniforms are constantly being created and updated at least twice a year. I love this project!

These sketches were one of those rare occasions where you nail something on the first try, and the client is in love with it! I remember waiting in the lobby of ETD Tires while my truck was getting some new shoes put on. I used this time to work on this project. This concept came to me, and was sketched out in less than an hour!
